Flights to Egilsstaðir, East Iceland
International travelers will be arriving at the International Airport in Keflavik (KEF). Flights from mainland Europe typically arrive in the afternoon while flights from North America often arrive early in the morning.
To get from the international Airport to Reykjavik one can use the Bus service or take a Taxi (uber is not an option). Getting through the airport normally takes about 30 minutes and then another 40-60 minutes to get to Reykjavík.
We anticipate most guests will be coming by air to Egilsstaðir. Domestic flights in Iceland depart from the municipal airport in Reykjavík. One option is to arrive on the morning of the 30th of September. Another option is to fly out on the 29th and spend one night in for instance Egilsstaðir.

Alternatives
An alternative could be to rent a car in Keflavik and drive to Egilsstaðir or Breiðdalsvík. Driving from Keflavik to Breiðdalsvík takes approximately 8 hours along the south coast but probably 9 hours if you choose to go the northern route through Akureyri.
