The conference is located in Breiðdalsvík a small village within the Fjarðabyggð municipality in Eastern-Iceland (se map above). The old fish-freezing plant "Frystihúsið" (litterally "freezong house") in Breiðdalsvík has been converted to an event center. This is where the conference (talks and posters) will be held (see map below).
Frystihúsið is accross the street from Hótel Breiðdalsvík (a.k.a. Hótel Bláfell). Hótel Breiðdalsvík also operates Hótel Póst housed in the old post -office. There is also a store in Breiðdalsvík and a branch of Landsbankinn a car mechanic and a swimming pool.
"Breiðdalssetur" is located in Breiðdalsvík. Breiðdalssetur houses a museum honoring the legacy of George P. L. Walker. Breiðdalssetur is housed in the "Old Coop" (i.e. Gamla Kaupfélagið) one of the oldest buildings in Breiðdalsvík.
